This March we will visit Black Star Co-op, the world’s first cooperatively-owned brewpub, for an exclusive brewery tour and talk¬†led by beer team leader Andy Martinec. We will get a chance to try their latest brew, Rebellious Dockhand, a sour mash porter made with a secondary fermentation of boysenberries.

Afterward, stay for a Slow Food happy hour starting at 3 pm. A suggested donation of $10 will support Black Star Coop and Slow Food Austin, and attendees will¬†enjoy a selection of snacks. The chef will speak to us about Black Star’s commitment to local farmers. Select local craft beers will also be available at the special price of $3.
