Say goodbye to spring with the final Slow Food farm tour before the summer heat! Meet Sebastian and Esther Bonneu of Countryside Farms in Cedar Creek, just 30 miles outside Austin and specializing in chickens, ducks, rabbits, geese, pheasant, hogs, and turkey. Countryside will be featured on a summer episode of “Bizarre Foods” with Andrew Zimmern. Now is your chance to get a sneak peak of their thoughtful animal husbandry. The tour will include a roasted pig lunch on the farm, prepared by our hosts. *Please note: to learn about how animals enter our foodsystem, there will be a chicken slaughter and processing– guests will have the option to not view this portion.*
