scholarship: 2017 TOFGA conference

Slow Food Austin is offering a scholarship to the Texas Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (TOFGA) conference in Mesquite, Texas from January 12-14, 2017. This annual conference offers workshops and presentations on a variety of topics pertinent to the work of organic farmers and gardeners in Central Texas and organic advocates.

 The 3-day conference will include a day of pre-conference workshops and farm tours, and two days of learning sessions that will cover diverse topics including pest management techniques, marketing and distribution strategies, livestock and crop management, and food policy. The scholarship will cover the cost of registration for the conference plus the Friday Banquet and Keynote and a travel stipend of $250– this does not include other pre-conference workshops or tours.
