Slow Food Austin wants to whet your appetite for aquaponics! Join us on Saturday, February 21, for lunch and a tour of Agua Dulce Farm, an urban aquaponic farm in southeast Austin. We’ll tour the farm, meet Jack Waite (the farmer), and learn all about the benefits of aquaponics, a sustainable farming practice that combines hydroponics (soil-less farming) with aquaculture (fish farming) in a closed re-circulating system.

We’ll also enjoy Agua Dulce’s pure and delicious vegetables in a farm-to-table lunch menu developed by chef Sonya Cote of Cote Catering, Eden East, and Hillside Farmacy.

BYOB. Seating is limited and there will be no tickets at the door. With advance notice, we can accommodate our vegetarian or gluten-free friends.  Refunds will only be given in case of cancellation due to inclement weather.

ALL ticket revenue goes back to the farm so come on out and support the farmers who are keeping your food good, clean, and fair!
